About call notifications

Queueue offers three ways to notice a call: updating the reception page, a sound/vibration alert, and Web Push notifications.

How it works now

• When customers keep the reception page (/s/[slug]) open, it automatically shows "Called" when their turn comes
• The page updates in near real time, with periodic refresh as a fallback; no extra setup is needed
• If marked "No show," the page updates and they can join again from the same screen

Sound and vibration (page open in the background)

• The moment you're called or marked no-show, we play a chime, vibrate the device (if supported), and flash the browser tab title
• This works even if you've switched to another app or tab while keeping the reception page open. No setup needed

Web Push notifications (works even with the page closed)

• Tap "Enable notifications" on the reception page to get browser notifications for calls and no-shows, even after closing the page
• Works out of the box on Android and desktop browsers
• On iPhone (Safari), you must add the page to your Home Screen first — see "If notifications don't arrive" for steps
