Pause acceptance & reset queue

From the admin dashboard, you can use Pause acceptance (stop new joins temporarily) and Reset queue (end the current queue and start fresh next time).

Pause acceptance

Use this when you need to temporarily stop new customers from joining (e.g., when full or for operational reasons).

How to use

  • Turn the "Pause acceptance" toggle on in the admin dashboard → new customers cannot join
  • Turn it off → joining is allowed again

Note

  • Customers already in the queue are not affected (you can still call and complete as usual)
  • Even during business hours, joining is blocked while paused
  • Customers trying to join will see "We are not accepting at the moment"

Reset queue

Use this when you want to end the current session and start with new numbers (from 1) on the next join.

How to use

  • Click the "Reset queue" button on the admin dashboard
  • Confirm in the dialog to end the current session

What happens

  1. Current waiting and called parties are treated as finished for that session
  2. The next time a customer joins, a new session is created and queue numbers start from 1 again
  3. Customers already in the queue will still see their status, but no new joins are allowed until someone joins again

Example use cases

  • Separate lunch and dinner queues
  • Restart numbering in the afternoon after a busy morning
  • Reset numbers between event sessions
