Preventing duplicate registrations

Queueue restricts one queue entry per browser. Duplicates are prevented at the API level.

When "duplicates" may occur

  1. Different browser or device … If the same person registers from a phone and a tablet, each is a separate entry. This is by design.
  2. Re-joining after cancel … After canceling (or being marked as no-show), a customer can join again. The system cannot tell if it's the same person or someone new.
  3. Proxy + web registration … If staff registered a customer and the customer also joined via QR, there may be two entries.

Tips

  • Before proxy-registering, check if the customer is already in the queue
  • Review the admin call list and handle any duplicates manually
