Set business hours

Queueue lets you set business hours so that customers cannot join the queue outside those hours. If you need to temporarily pause acceptance (e.g., when full or for operational reasons), see Pause acceptance & reset queue.

What business hours do

  • Join eligibility … Outside business hours, customers trying to join via QR code will see "We are not accepting at the moment" and cannot join
  • Session management … Joins during business hours are grouped into daily "sessions"
  • Queue numbers … Numbers are assigned per session starting from 1. When you reset the queue, new numbers start from 1 on the next session

How to set

1. Open the admin dashboard

Access the admin dashboard via your admin URL.

2. Click the edit icon next to business hours

Under the shop name, you'll see the business hours (e.g., 11:00–20:00 Asia/Tokyo). Click the edit icon (pencil) on the right.

3. Select timezone and enter start/end

A modal will open. Configure:

  • Timezone … Select your shop's location from the dropdown
  • Business start … When to start accepting (e.g., 11:00)
  • Business end … When to stop accepting (e.g., 20:00)

After saving, joining is only allowed within those hours.

Late-night hours

If the end time is earlier than the start time (e.g., 23:00–02:00), the system treats it as closing the next day. With the correct timezone, local time is used for the check.

Note

  • Business hours are always shown under the shop name on the admin dashboard
  • Outside business hours or when acceptance is paused, customers will see an error when trying to join
  • Changing business hours does not affect customers already in the queue (it applies from the next join)
